ABOUT.

V. is. for. Bird. is created by me, Valerie. I live in Amsterdam.

This project is an idea that unfolded in the months following the lockdown in March 2020. Lots of spare time. Overthinking life and the rest. To pass time and not able to travel, I figured something could come out of the most unlikely combination of interests that I have.

Pediatric intensive care doctor, travelling, voluntary projects abroad, being an imaginary fashion designer (since I was eight years old) and the strong believe that we as humans -apart from our body and mind- have a spirit within ourselves that shows us the way, connects us with each other and gives us the wisdom, love and courage we need in this life.

The Mission: contribute to one of the good causes by donating all profits of every item sold. At the same time light a little light in someones heart when reading the words written on the sweaters and bags.

The Vision: even the smallest drop of good intention counts when it comes to making this world a better place and spreading wholeheartedness.

By giving your support you will contribute to change a child's life for the better. It's not about large amounts, it's about caring -in any way- for people around us. I definitely don’t want to give the impression that life is about singing the Kumbaya around the campfire. The whole thing is done with both feet on the ground, the Dutch way. Nevertheless I hope this project will help spreading some stories, words and messages that might inspire you.
