WHAT ABOUT THE PRICE.

Talking with friends about my plans, the question about the pricing of this sweater came up often. Hopefully this explanation makes it more understandable, but above all I hope I will motivate you to share a bit of our mega-fortunate position with people that live in far more challenging situations.

DONATE A FAIR BIT. SPREAD A FEEL GOOD MESSAGE. SUSTAINABLE. NO WASTE. NON PROFIT. 

I really would like to emphasize that this is a non-profit fundraising project. V. is. for. Bird. is a registered foundation (Learn more). All earnings after overhead costs are donated.

Also, I have no intention to bring more "stuff" into this world that is already overthrown with cheap, irresponsibly produced clothing. My thought is: when someone needs a cool sweater anyway, buy this one because of the reasons mentioned above instead of a mass production one.

ONE SURGICAL REPAIR COSTS 205 EURO. THAT MEANS 10 SWEATERS (OR 20 BAGS OR 15 KIDS SWEATERS) SOLD IS ONE LIFE CHANGED. MULTIPLY THIS. 

The price is of an adult size sweater is 79.95 euro*. The buildup:

Production costs are this high because I do not create a stock. They are printed by a relatively small company by hand.

* When items are for sale, the donated amount logically gets less. Nevertheless, it's still non-profit and as much as possible, depending on the on sale price, is still donated.

This project is COMPLETELY NON-PROFIT. I tried to cut costs as much as possible, this is the best I could do in terms of pricing. Please let me know when you have any questions or suggestions.
